Q. Can my son or daughter ride a horse by themselves?

A. Children over the age of 9 may ride alone assuming they are of at least average height and weight for their age. Children age 8 and under typically require a hand lead. Please note that NY state law requires children 13 years of age and younger to wear helmets when riding, so please be sure to bring your child's bicycle helmet if they are under this age. *If you have a child under the age of 5, please contact us for additional information.


Q. Do you need volunteers to ride your horses? Can I ride your horses to help keep them stay in shape?

A. At this time we have adequate help. You are more than welcome to check back again in the future.


Q. I am an experienced / moderate / beginner rider, do you have a ride that is appropriate for me?

A. All of our trail rides are led by an experienced guide through our scenic wooded trails. The trails are "walk only" as the terrain is wooded and mountainous - there is no trotting or running permitted. As such, our trails are appropriate and safe for riders of all ages and experience levels.


Q. How much are the trail rides?

A. Trail rides are $25.00 per person for a 1-hour trail ride.


Q. How often are trails scheduled? Do I need a reservation?

A. Trails are scheduled every hour and a half from 10:00am until dusk. Trails are by reservation only.


Q. Do you offer trails in the winter?

A. Trails are available year round, weather permitting.
